TECHDEV iNSTiTUTE, a technology business incubator based in Bamenda, Cameroon, seeks a few young, reliable and ambitious interns to work with us on our Web development and web marketing projects (Learning by doing: hands-on learning while working on projects with us).
We would prefer students or graduates of Maths, Physics, Accounting and Management, Law or Journalism.
This internship involves extensive web development and marketing using technologies like PHP, MySQL, HTML, XML, XHTML, ASP.NET, blogging plattforms and other Web 2.0 technologies.

We need people who are motivated to succeed in this new information age.

This is an internship with a stipend, depending on your experience. You will get to learn about the newest web technologies and gain valuable experience to work for companies outside of Cameroon (as an offshore employee for companies in Europe and USA).

Specific Goals to be completed within 3 months of starting this internship

1. Intern will have programmed a database-driven website using PHP or ASP.NET to pull data from a database
2. Program a new Wordpress Plugin as at http://wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/
3. Acquired knowledge to pursue Zend PHP Certification or start on the path towards Microsoft’s MCTS ASP.NET Certification
4. Acquired the skills to develop and market content on the web.

You can use us as a reference for your future career, and possibly earn a full-time position with one of our partner companies, or become a subcontractor on one of our partners’ projects.
